This is a post plateau story starring - who else? - Marguerite and Roxton. Thought it might be interesting to see the couple together, married, after their adventures in The Lost World. I kept it in the 1920s, different from the J&G theory of our heroes popping into the twenty first century. The couple are very content, living in Avebury, but not all is well in their happy home. There is a separation, mystery, the return of a friend, murder, treachery, secrets, romance and perhaps even a good old fashioned haunting. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would be proud -- and so would Agatha Christie. ;)
